Surah Al Anfal Ayat 1 Translation Tafseer

Para 9 - قَالَ الْمَلَاُ

سورة الانفال

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

8.1

یَسْــٴَـلُوْنَكَ عَنِ الْاَنْفَالِؕ -قُلِ الْاَنْفَالُ لِلّٰهِ وَ الرَّسُوْلِۚ-فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَ اَصْلِحُوْا ذَاتَ بَیْنِكُمْ۪-وَ اَطِیْعُوا اللّٰهَ وَ رَسُوْلَهٗۤ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِیْنَ(1)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

˹Dear Beloved Prophet,˺ they ask you about the spoils of war.[1] Say, “The spoils belong to Allah and the Messenger; so fear Allah and maintain fellowship among yourselves. And obey Allah and His Messenger if you are believers.

Commentary

The word ‘اَنْفَال’ is the plural of ‘نَفَل’ which refers to the spoils of war. It is called ‘نَفَل’ (in Arabic) as it is the Grace and Bestowal of Allah Almighty.
